Osiel “Alex” Montoya
Osiel “Alex” Montoya is a Master’s student studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa and a Research Assistant with HSFL. The focus of his research has been flight software development. He designed a system to compile flight software while the HyTI CubeSat is in orbit and is the Software subsystem lead for the Ke Ao CubeSat. Additionally, he has strived to improve the quality of software documentation through comments, refactoring, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) systems. Alex began working with HSFL through the Ke Ao Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) in 2021 and has continued on as a RA until his expected graduation in Spring 2024.
